EXPLORE THE LIVE JUSTICE THEMES

Live Justice is the culmination of the five themes we have identified as areas in which we can learn to live out the principle of Justice. Drink, Do, Wear, Eat, and Live encompasses five areas in which we want to focus on changes big and small that do good for people and the planet.

LIVE JUSTICE AWARDS

This year, we hosted the first-ever "Live Justice" awards. This award was modeled after the CJR's Hope Rising award which honors professionals in the field of human trafficking for their hard work and dedication. We similarly wanted to honor students at PLNU who we felt embodied the values of "Live Justice" and the Center for Justice and Reconciliation. The awardee’s work with the CJR and with their respective organizations stood out to our team. The CJR deeply admires and appreciates their constant dedication to the principles and values of justice, sustainability, diversity, service, and community. They have made and continue to make their mark on PLNU and our broader San Diego community. We are excited to see the fruits of their hard work flourish.

Meet the Awardees (from left to right):

Katrina Cloyes is the PLNU Department of Sustainability Student Programs Coordinator and the President of Enactus.

Jessica Saavedra-White is the President of the Students for Environmental Awareness and Action or SEAA club at PLNU.

Kira Pearce is the Co-director of the PLNU Homeless Ministries.
